Terrill North
Terrill North joined the RHLCT Board in January 2025. Â Terrill is a Partner with the venture philanthropy firm, New Profit, focused on grantmaking in economic mobility.
Prior to joining New Profit, Terrill was Executive Director of Hoffberger Family Philanthropies, a Baltimore-based family foundation focused on economic mobility and children’s mental health. Under his leadership, Hoffberger introduced participatory grantmaking to increase racial equity and developed a portfolio funding 75% leaders of color. Before that, Terrill led the Montgomery County Collaboration Council for Children, Youth, and Families in Maryland, funding public/private partnerships to provide Out-of-School-Time (OST) and Opportunity Youth programs.
Earlier in his career, Terrill served as a management consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton and Deloitte Consulting, Chief of Staff to a Member of Congress from New York and Policy Director to a Member of Congress from Massachusetts. Terrill earned his JD from Columbia University, M.Ed. from the Broad Center, and BA from Howard University with executive education at Harvard Kennedy School.
